PHONOGRAM: THE SINGLES CLUB
Hello.We're full of bright ideas. Or, at least, we like bullying our friends into obeying our will. Which, if you think about it, is a pretty bright idea.
So we manipulated our peers into doing some back up stories for the new series. That means as well as the lead sixteen page feature, each issue will include six pages of back-up stories exclusive to the single editions (i.e. They won't be in the trade. For more on the thinking behind that, see the site proper). Some of the artists are relative newcomers. Others have professional careers of long standing. Most are from a similar place to the pair of us: confused, fresh and hungry. Oh, so very, very hungry.
Anyway - the following sample pages are mostly unlettered and - in two cases - uncoloured. The seven should give an idea of the variety of styles that these people have brought to the Phonogram universe. So, ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for...
