I was never really part of that scene, it being tied into the distribution of fanzines at live gigs that never happened in rural Hertfordshire before you passed your driving test, but I do remember seeing Bis a few times around then, the most memorable being when they supported Ash with the Sixty Foot Dolls at Cambridge.
Also, I would contend that Das Wanderlust (http://www.myspace.com/daswanderlust) could be added to his list at the end too.
Oh and Bis never really split, they moved to Bungalow and then became Data Panik (http://www.myspace.com/datapanik).

I left Phonogram flyers in record shops and gig venues as well as the comic shops.
The ones in the record shops went very quickly, to the extent that one of them had to tape the last flyer to the counter.

Picked up the latest issue on Friday - looks excellent.
btw, if the next issue’s cover doesn’t spawn reams of Gillen/Kohl slash fiction, I shall be very disappointed in the internets.
